It's Party Time
Kelsey turned 8 years old on Thursday, April 23rd. Shortly after school she had a bike accident and fractured her wrist. This is the 2nd time she has fractured her wrist, but this time it was the other wrist. She has a splint on for now until we see the orthopaedic. This did not stop her from celebrating her birthday on Saturday. Of course, we had a Hannah Montana theme birthday. Her friends also got to feed the horses behind our home.

More Myrtle Beach
We had a wonderful, restful time at the beach. We enjoyed sharing time with our friends. This is Emma Elliott, 2 year old daughter of West & Shannon. Doesn't she look happy to be at the beach!?
I didn't know that our friend, Amanda, was such a shell collector. She talked the kids into helping her dig this big hole to search for seashells. They found over 200 shells, including the SC state seashell - the "Lettered Olive." I didn't know we had a state shell?! Look it up - it's true!
Here's Amanda and Kelsey working hard...
And little Emma just having a good time in the sand...

Spring Break at the Beach
It sure doesn't feel like Spring here in Myrtle Beach. We arrived on Tuesday after traveling through several rain storms. Our first sight of the ocean and beach in almost 2 years!!! The kids were sooooo excited to finally be here, and Mom and Dad, too. We are staying with 2 families from our church for the next 4 days during our Spring Break and hoping that the weather cooperates and gives us some sunshine!
No matter how cold the water is... boys will be boys!Monday, April 6, 2009
Almost 8...
Since her Meme and Aunt Laurie were visiting us, they decided to go ahead and have an early birthday party for Kelsey. Her birthday is coming up on April 23rd, but she wanted to use her Easy Bake Oven... So, Aunt Laurie and Kelsey baked a cake and set up the party on the porch. Coby even played "Happy Birthday" with his recorder.
