Finally...HOME!

We have found a place to call "HOME." We moved in on March 19th and we're still unpacking and trying to find things we left in storage while in Zambia.

Right outside our front door is a Koi Pond. We just added 5 fish to the pond, but they are hiding under the rocks. Their names are Ricky, Niki, Austin, Coby and Kelsey. (I know...so original!)

11th Annual Missions Tea

Our church "gym" gets transformed during the Tea.
For the past 11 years, College Street Baptist has hosted a Missions Tea. All proceeds from the Tea are used for missions at our church. Ricky and I were asked to speak at this year's tea which was titled "A Call to Tea." We spoke about our calling to go to Zambia and also our calling to return to the States. Ricky made history by being the first MAN to speak at the tea as well as sit with the ladies. Our friend, Lisa, called him BRAVE! Hey, it's all in the name of MISSIONS!
I missed not setting a table this year, but I am ready for next year's tea.
Below... my friends Missy Gibson, Sue Maher, and Megan (Maher) Pridmore enjoying the Tea.

SNOW DAY!

I think we have finally had our last cold spell this winter, and I am looking forward to Spring Time! We were traveling this past weekend when we heard of the report of snow for our area, so we hit the road shortly after lunch on Sunday. As soon as we turned off I-26 onto I-385 the snow began to come down. By the time we got to Greenville, it was sticking to the roads pretty good. We saw a few wrecks along the way, but thankfully, they were not that bad. Our niece, Bretta, was following us back to Clemson and so we stopped at one of our stores in Central to say goodbye to her as she went to her apartment. We drove through the worst of it, and about the time we got into Seneca, it turned to rain. That evening we got bits of snow mixed with rain and just a dusting at our house, but the kids got a day off from school on Monday.

Girls Day Out

My grandmother turned 79 this year, and for her birthday, my mom, my sister, Kelsey and I decided to take her out for some GIRL TIME! We started our morning at the nail salon where we were given manicures and pedicures. Don't we look relaxed!! After our nails were dry, we went to lunch at Olive Garden, YUM! Jumomma (that's what we call our grandma) invited her best friend, Fleecie (and that's her nickname) to join us for lunch. They have been best friends since they were 14 years old. I enjoyed listening to their stories from way back when.

Now, this is what I call "Relaxation" - that massage chair was worth it!
